Becca's Tips - Color Your Own Tote Bag

As with any advice, take this all with a grain of salt and follow all safety precautions on products. Dragons and Beasties is not responsible for any problems that arise from this advice.

Recommended Markers/Paint: Posca pens or any acrylic paint marker, Ceramcoat craft paints applied with a brush, Crayola fabric markers, or Sharpies (These items can generally be found in most craft stores or online)

We strongly recommend NOT using Tulip fabric markers. The material of the tote bag is not very compatible for this brand of markers and they tend to bleed easily.

It is recommended to start with a small test area with any marker/paint selected to ensure it will achieve the expected end result.

Setting the color: This is optional. After coloring, let bag dry for 24 hours. Flip inside out and iron on the opposite side of the artwork (inside part of the bag). Place in dryer for 30 minutes on low heat. The heat will help set the color. For further protection, the bag can be sprayed with any acrylic sealer.
