International Shipping Update

This update impacts ALL international customers

We have enabled a new system on our shop called Managed Markets that will change your Dragons and Beasties shopping experience in a big way so please read carefully. If you live in the United States, this does not apply to you.

  • Shop prices will be now be shown in your local currency. I.E. If you are in the UK, you should see prices in GBP.
  • Shop prices will be slightly higher than the straight conversion from prices we announce in USD. This is due to additional fees associated with this new system. Prices will be roughly 5% higher but may vary depending on currency conversion.
  • At checkout, you will now see multiple shipping carrier options for DHL, FedEx, and UPS. This can result in higher shipping costs but these services do offer faster delivery times. You can change the carrier via the dropdown button shown below, it can be easy to miss that.
  • USPS and Global Post do not work with this system so they are no longer an option
  • At checkout, you will now see any Taxes (VAT) or Duties as separate line items added to the total cost for your order. This means that you should not have any surprise customs charges to pick up your package once it has arrived in your country.
  • PayPal is no longer an option for checkout for all international customers. If you don't have a credit card, you can connect your bank account to your Shop Pay account or Google Pay for alternative payment methods.
  • Customers from the EU will be able to purchase the Zen and Harmony Deluxe plushies. These are the only GPSR compliant products at this time. We may add more in the future but it is costly for us. EU customers will be re-directed to https://dragonsandbeasties.com/en-eu when accessing our store from those countries.
  • You may see Global-e somewhere on the shipping label now. This is just who we partner with for using Managed Markets.

We do apologize if any of you are unhappy with this change as we know budgets can be tight already. While this will result in an increase in costs, we hope it helps provide a better experience overall by showing all relevant fees up front with improved shipping carrier options.
